Animals Count is a UK political party for people and animals, founded in December 2006. Animals Count is active in England, Wales and Scotland.
Leader Jasmijn de Boo (who contested the May 2008 London Assembly Elections, and together with Alex Bourke and Richard Deboo, contested the 2009 EU elections in the Eastern region) was an active member of the highly successful Dutch Political ‘Party for the Animals’, which gained two seats in the general election in November 2006, nine seats in the Provincial elections in March 2007, one seat in the Senate in June 2007 and nine representatives in the Water Board elections in 2008.
